About Me

Hello! I'm Andrea (she/her), the NYC-based artist behind sealkie cove. I've always had a deep love for the ocean and for different folktales and fairytales around the world. Sealkie is a username I've used online for many years, and it's a portmanteau of my favorite animals, seals, combined with the selkie myth.

 

sealkie cove has been a dream of mine ever since I realized how absolutely dreary and dull I found the majority of clothing and accessories available to me as an adult. 

I wanted to have more fun, more color, and more joy in how I presented myself to the world. Thus, sealkie cove started as a project to satiate that desire. I hope you enjoy my designs as much as I enjoy making them!

When I'm not making art, you can find me reading historical/sci-fi/fantasy/romance novels, catching up on anime/manga, or speaking to my Very Important feline assistant Chloe (she keeps napping on the job and it's becoming quite an issue).
